I wasn't sure if I liked this as I thought it was too big. But it's not bigger than the Rangeman so I'm keeping it.

P.S. Does anyone know why the auto light function doesn't stay on? It turns itself off each day and I have to turn it back on again. Is it to save battery?

Lovely bunch of healthy looking cactus you got there :)

And for the froggy Friday ritual, I've got my dolphin and whale frog on :)

It's one of those frogs I think is much nicer on the wrist than in pics, its got a glittery metallic style silver and dark blue (whale) band which doesn't show up in pics so well :)

That is cool! The short answer is "yes". Solars will actually use the solar panel to decide if there is sufficient light and NOT turn on the EL. Non-solars will light up every time they hit the correct position regardless of light in the area. You can see where this can get battery draining.
