How to fix the dark digital dislpay of GA1000FC-1A (negative convert, backlight, led)

I am thinking to remove (if there is) a negative folio of the digital display , because I can't see the display well.

I watched this post:
http://forums.watchuseek.com/f43/how-convert-plain-dw-5600-negative-display-129102.html
So I need to do the reverse action.
Is there anybody that know is there any problem with the opening of that watch?

And a little unusual question, but i think that is possible:
Is there a option to add a backlight to the digital display?
(I want to see my digits in the dark :) )

thank you.

This is pretty cool and nice to know if I ever want to convert a positive display into a negative one.

Have not read about anyone opening up a GA1000 yet, but most Casio modules have the same suggestions: 1. Go Slow. 2. Be careful.
LUW on this forum has done some surgery on his G's and I think he even recommended working on it inside a plastic baggie so little bits can't "go anywhere".

Thanks,
Working on it inside a plastic baggie with surgical gloves is the way, yes.:friendly_wink:
This conversion will be hard, because there is not only digital display, but also analog part.
So I will read a bit some suggestions, then I will decide :).
