Model GW5600J-1

I was wondering what the retail price on this model is. I bought it a few years ago, but noticed recently the price seems to have skyrocketed compared to what I paid & I'm not sure why. Is this model sought after for some reason or considered a collectable?

Just curious. Much appreciate any help.

Over on fromjapan.com they seem to be going for the ¥10,000 - ¥12,000 range new (approx US $100 - $120) Hope that helps.
