Help on common problem...

At least it's a common problem (and hopefully an easy fix) for serious G-shock folks. I just replaced a battery on a Mod 1647 (DW-003) and the light will not work on
either EL or button. Did I miss something? TIA for assistance.

Wish I could help . I've had similar problems in the past. Only fix I know of is send in watch to Casio for battery replacement . A friend of mine does this and has for years. For me battery replacement is the kiss of death. My experience is if all goes well a few days later the watch fogs up & display dies. I've had g shocks since the first model.

Thanks for your reply. I have replaced batteries without any problems in the past. If I don't open it up again I will wear it as-is.
I like the colors - red and gray. Yours has definitely seen some hard use.
