Casio (in conjuntion with NEC) are set to release the G'zOne TYPE-L G-Shock styled smartphone in Japan early next year. Casio Japan have today announced the release of the second generation of Bluetooth enabled G-Shocks which follow the release of the G-Shock GB-6900 bluetooth earlier this year. The new release consists of the GB-5600AA model which is based on the classic square DW-5600 along with the GB-6900AA which is identical to the previously released bluetooth GB-6900. Casio have previewed a G-Shock smartphone at CES 2012 in Las Vegas. The phone looks to have all the essential G-shock DNA with a rugged appearance and shock resistance. The new models looks to be a step on from Casios previous attempt at a rugged phone the G'zone.
