Thing is I have the the auto lite turned off but when I sleep with it on it turns itself back on , so I don't sleep with it on . Solar powered watches batteries do eventually get weak & fail generally my G's are pretty beat by the time this happens. So l don't like spending a lot on them. But...

I find most all g shocks durable.personally like atomic feature .I also look for G's with mineral crystal.Beware that dial light runs off a battery that is not part of the solar charging system. I have solars that are still running @ about 10 years. ( except dial light which can last 2-6 years...

Wish I could help . I've had similar problems in the past. Only fix I know of is send in watch to Casio for battery replacement . A friend of mine does this and has for years. For me battery replacement is the kiss of death. My experience is if all goes well a few days later the watch fogs up &...
