DW-5600E Variations

Hi mates,

have some questions about the DW-5600E.

I have two new watches, exactly the same, I think!

No difference at the bezel, strap or dial.
Both are for non Japanese market.
Both have -200 Meter- ILUMINATOR- on the dial.

But one uses the more common 1545 modul and the other the 3229.

Why has Casio used two different moduls, although both watches are released in 1996?

Only difference is that the 1545 has a more blue backlight instead of the 3229 which has a more green one.

Can anybody explain to me, please?

Thanks

They were released in the same year, and (basically) still are in production today, but through the years Casio has developed the modules, so you will see the same watch receiving a different module after some years.

Thanks,

but this can not be the only reason, I think so. Because the only difference is the color of the back light.

The newer one is the 3229, I think, isn't it?

Which one is the direct follower of the DW-5600C?

i think the newer 3229 module has a much longer calendar to 2099 while the 1545 only goes to 2039, and i think the 1545 doesn't t have an alarm spring, which can get lost easily on the newer modules when you open the case to change the battery
