Keepers!

Following discussion on another thread going to try and get hold of some strap keepers. Either through Casio or the aftermarket.

Picked up one of these straps > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310280107...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_2307wt_1396 to look at the keeper. The seller has indicated they maybe able to source keepers seperately. This would be suitable for the DW-6900 / DW-5600 style strap. Some models such as the GW-200 Frog have a slightly wider strap and keeper.

If anyone has anymore details or ideas please post up here.

Sadly the first and most promising lead has drawn a blank. They are unable to source keepers seperately. Guess we need to try and speak direct with a munfacturer - sure someone would be more than happy to run the keeper machine for an extra two minutes on our behalf.

Failing that I have contacted a couple more wholesalers and have opened an account with one - only way to see the prices. It may be that buying diver style straps and throwing all bar the keeper away is the only solution but it should be fairly cheap. Can get cheap batteries in bulk too.

Certainly need keepers - I got sent another DW-00x today but no keeper! (Thanks JV :) )

The aftermarket G-Shock strap arrived today. Looks not too bad actually, apart from the obvious ommision of the Casio text you'd need a side by side comparison (or very good eye) to know it wasn't a pukka Casio item. The keeper has a slightly differently sized cut out but is pretty good - certainly a far better option than a rubber band! On on to find another supplier.

It's a copy of the the flat DW-6900 strap. Not too bad really.
