It wasn't. It was a JPN¥31, 500 (suggested retail) June 2010 Japan Market only limited release. I have no idea what the japan yen converted to at that time, or if a premium was common on this release or not.

You are correct rumpleforeskin, and my clarification missed the point. The current owner is hoping to find a collector missing this piece in their collection. They are hoping to get paid for so kindly "watching over" the piece and keeping it in such great condition.
