Concern for Battery Leaks & Corrosion in Gshock watches

I have two Gshock watches: One that I am wearing right now (DW-6600) in which they just replaced the batteries for it 2 weeks ago, and plus, I bought another Gshock (DW-6900) as a backup in case the DW-6600 gets damaged or something like that.

My question is, do the batteries in these watches tend to leak or corrode when inside these watches?
By the way, my backup watch (DW-6900) is kept in room temperature with the batteries running inside of it.

Should there be a concern for these batteries to leak or corrode causing damage to the watches?

Thx in advance!

I have heard of it happening, but yet to experience it. Having opened up 20 year old G's, I would say it is uncommon at this point.

The battery shouldnt leak unless a seal has perished or broken down. Just make sure that when the battery goes flat that it is changed as its more likely to break down.

Hope this helps
