casio gw-9400 Rangeman - accuracy

Hello,

I am proud owner of Casio Rangeman and I am happy with it...

I wanted to ask somebody who also have Rangeman about accuracy
of barometer and Thermometer...

I saw that Thermometer have difference between real temperature
about 3 Celsius degree (plus) and about 10hPa difference less than real pressure.

I know that I can calibrate this, but I thought that factory values will be
closer to real

Does it possible to "reset" watch somehow?

Best regards,
and thank you.

Body temperature... Let off the wrist for 20 minutes and it will accurately measure.

Thank you for answer but this is not a problem
.. After two hours on my desk, not 20 minutes :)
Two watches, Suunto and Casio and weather station...
Suunto and weather station exactly the same.
Casio shows differences (with factory settings)

I know that I can calibrate it but it is strange that
It shows so big difference especially for thermometer...

Oh, ok, sorry. I have a Suunto Core... I Never measured my Mudman 9300 off the wrist. Let's wait for other answers. In any case, I would not change the calibration. I read that Suunto works more closer to the real. Let's wait ...

Sorry mistakes, I used a translator.

Big Hug To You.

I usually calibrate the altimeters/temperature tools I use, so I know the reason for the manufacturing variance. Is the offset consistent?

Yes, offset is consistent. When you calibrate it, thermometer shows correct values...

Could you please compare thermometer on your Rangeman with "real" thermometer, do you
have also difference?

best regards from Croatia

Hi gervasius,
I have the same problems as you with my Rangeman 9400!
The values of the clock don't match with real values.

I use the Rangeman only for having a certain orientation and I have never calibrated it.

Gervasius, I still have not located a "real" thermometer and hope someone else here can help out! I remember a pilot comparing the thermometer to his planes and it was extremely accurate. To be fair, he calibrates the plane instrumentation before every flight and so too his Rangeman.

Yes, it's between 3-5 degrees. The air pressure varies from 10 to 15 hPa...
