Time for my daily driver atomic solar today as there was a risk of damage to either it or my fingers.

In the background is a 4.2 litre twin overhead cam straight six Jaguar petrol engine so can you guess what vehicle we were working on?

An Alvis Sabre - one of the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) - CVR(T) - family. It sports a 30mm Rarden cannon firing a mix of HE and APEP and a coaxial 7.62mm chain gun
I was there to help lift the main glacis plate to provide easier access to the engine and the drivers station - slight water weep on the cooling system and some electrical glitches to attend to. That's the problem with armoured vehicles, a lot of heavy metal to be moved to get at the bits lying underneath
