The watch is light weight and dark grey rather than black. There are literally 3 tiny areas of red around the Smart Access crown and a red Z on the B button to break the grey and white palette.

@Rutteger: I'm only comparing it with Frogs, MTG, Giez and other brands. I guess the Aviators are probably more costly as a group. Thought I have deleted the post with the tiny pic!

It's growing on me, slowly and surely. It will serve as a good travel watch: good world time function + does not scream "mug me!".

Good job with scoring the discount, Steve. Mine has arrived and these are my random thoughts after fiddling with it and straining my eyes with the manual for an hour: - the watch is attractive in a tool-like fashion - it's obviously different from most G-Shocks in not having the usual G-shock...

2 remaining in stock at Watchshop. Decided to bank on the 30-days return policy (which is offered because the chances of keeping the watch is rather high).

That's probably the prudent thing to do. I'm tempted to try out the 30 day return policy :-) Looking around at what £500 can buy has certainly dampened the urge to impulse-buy.

Any guess at what vanilla would cost? I think the metal keeper etc do make for a more attractive package.

Nothing to lose by asking. I wonder how many they in stock? Their webshop shows 10+.

Don't forget to factor in the additional 20% for the taxman or more if it gets delivered by ParcelFarce. So the premium on the LE is actually quite reasonable. Let's buy it already!

The non LE version is on eBay for £355 with free international p&p. Maybe I will just black out the "G-Shock" with a sharpie.

PS It would be ironic if the watch doesn't get released in the UK market.

That would be disappointing but hopefully the overall quality would justify the price tag.
