Is this a guess the G-Shock model number competition?

Could be, any ideas ?
Spend ages with that bezel, only cracked in one place before. Glued it. Touched up the text. One slip and it broke into bits, I helped it into the state you currently see it.

I use enamel model paint and a regular model brush. More details in this thread here > http://www.g-shockzone.com/showthrea...00-restoration

Give that man a Winterman's Cafe Creme! Mind you, anyone who actually reads any of the dross I post in here will know that the only bezel replacement I have ever tried has been to my first ever G-Shock, my DW-6600.
So how close did I get?

Cafe Creme, class
The DW-6600 bezel looks nice and crumbly.
Ver close on your guess, it was a DW-5300. The bezels on these seem very prone to crumbling and rotting.
