    My worn G-Shock DW-6100 Addict

LOVE IT. There's no way I'd replace the band. Works so well with the whole camo/in-the-trenches/foxholes look... Since grabbing that old 5300 and 290 - I have a whole new appreciation for vintage and the inherent fact that since they're still around and working after 15-17 years, they're...

    THE REAL 'Mission Impossible' CASIO...

Thanks... US via eBay - $10.50. But since I've still not seen another Japanese after 3 weeks, with all those Chinese ones - I'm glad I went to the trouble to snag it for lunch money...

Installing the G-Shock Japan app on your android phone

Similar functions/features - but presentations are a bit different. Free app - so if you're a G Fan w/ an iPhone you can't lose... And yes - I've already decided to pull the trigger on the Bluetooth 6900!!! Footnote - after further comparisons to your captures - not as detailed/interactive as...

Installing the G-Shock Japan app on your android phone

DL'ed the (domestic) app for my iPhone4S... Pretty cool - G-SHOCK ATTACK, G-SHOCK DIVE, & G-SHOCK HEAT games... You get more options for which model G serves as your wallpaper (default is a time-keeping DW-5600) after you exceed your previous game's high score. You can upload results to your...

Yes, very commanding... As much as I love the Old School G's - it's definitely not your Father's G-SHOCK... ;)

    THE REAL 'Mission Impossible' CASIO...

Last week I posted pics of a recent purchase of the DW-5300 G-SHOCK, thinking over the past 15 years that it was the actual model worn by Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt in the 1996 MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE Film. http://www.g-shockzone.com/showthread.php?761-Back-in-Black When searching for screen caps to...

Have you ever broken a G-Shock??

Look at it this way - it took cinder blocks and a baseball bat behind a grown man's swing to damage the crystal and module. Worthy of the name G-SHOCK to me...

Have you ever broken a G-Shock??

Ah... my bad. And glad to read the resin isues are limited to basically 2 models... Like I said - your forum is a great place to get info and answers - thanks!

Have you ever broken a G-Shock??

No - couldn't do that to something I dig... But I must say - after joining here a few weeks ago and digesting a lot of the great info here - I was saddened to read that there are Vintage G-SHOCKS with bezels that fall apart over time (as with the DW-5300 - which by the way has never happened to...

How many G-Shocks do you own?

'Fraid I'm bringing up the rear with 2... Then again I only like wearing 1 at a time. ;)

    Back in Black.

Saw that as well. Might help if we could translate. CASIO may have played a part in that 'ad' to help promote the G-SHOCK line - not necessarily the 5300. Another scenario: I wonder if M:I is the reason why the 290 is still in production! ;)

    Back in Black.

Agreed. Will post a pic of the 290 next to the 5300 when I get it. Must say I can see why the 2 models were confused, as far as the true model I.D. of the M:I watch - with each having the basic G rectangular shape but w/ 'cut corners'. And now there's the HD technology to better I.D. watches...
