Another Footnote... After I found out that the 290 was the actual M:I watch - not the 5300 - and after securing the early Jap version - I decided I could release my 5300 pictured above. Sold on eBay for $50 to a buyer who messaged me to ask if in 'good' condition - which I responded yes...

Thanks my Friend. And by the way - still haven't seen another Japanese 290 on eBay. There have been a few used added over the last couple of weeks - but after inquiries all are/were Chinese. Not sure I understand why no used Jap's have turned up in a month - with all the 290's out there...

First, let me say stick with your 8-year old vintage G Soulmate... ;-) In answer to your question - I'd say the Gravity Defier series... based on features you cite and also only if by 'LARGE' you mean 47 mm... There are larger. My 2 cents. Good luck and enjoy your quest.
