I think it is great! So much so that I have mailed the seller with a couple of questions; I am eagerly awaiting answers:

Thanks for the comparison shots. Wore a watch you may be familiar with today, job turned into a nightmare, muck and swarf everywere hence the slightly dirty appearance GW-810D at Paddington station

Last G of the year......well maybe ha ha

Someone has just bid two bags of sand for a watch and the postage - maybe 4 quid if a heavy box is used - is another 15 quid! Don't expect delivery until the New Year probably, if at all, seller is probably on a beach over the next few weeks, sunning himself on the proceeds of the sale.

Last G of the year......well maybe ha ha

FMOBB! I smell a scam, looking at the 72 bids from only nine bidders ... This one on the other hand seems somewhat more legit - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270877097547?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_2228wt_1272 EDITED TO ADD: Just been back to look at the...

    Wanted G-7800b-1

Just looked at the reviews on Amazon and noticed that the date can be displayed correctly - i.e. in British date/month format :p. Very useful although possibly confusing to those of us with a couple of other G's worn on a regular basis. Shame it isn't bigger, would be awesome with a case the...

At home today, still wearing my custom 6600. Now playing with the contents of my parcel from the States - getting rid of the American accents and teaching 'em to speak GMT. Briefly wore the GLX-5600 before deciding that it was too nice for ordinary occasions. here's a photo from Saturday: @...

For £450.00 it certainly will, soon as I can get a small, circular sticky label and wash out a margarine tub. Beware of cheap imitations!

RS = my initials therefore DW-6600RS-1 is the first modded G that I have tried, in a currently very limited edition. Must see if I can get 1/1 engraved on the back. No doubt there will be a host of cheap Chinese imitations on eBay before the year is out. The genuine article is available from me...

I have seen metal keepers on some ICERC frogs - with a dolphin cut out. Certainly more durable than the standard resin keepers which are prone to coming apart. Casio, of course, do not supply keepers, only complete straps. I have a source of wholesale watch straps and if anyone wants Casio...

I did my own Dee and ricky

The LCD segments show by virtue of a thin sheet of polarising film over the module glass. Remove the film, replace with another bit of polarising film at right angles to the original and the display is reversed. Did my first yesterday: Get a washing up bowl, a Phillips #000 screwdriver, some...

@ Bubbly Tubs - very nice. Did you buy all ten? Anyway, I hold you responsible for an eighty quid hole in my wallet! It was you who said that this would be an ideal addition to a collection: Picked it up from the post office yesterday and started to play with it last night. I was...

The Official Introduce Yourself Here Thread.

Great sunrise shot! (If someone is reading this and doesn't understand what I am on about check Mike's blog for 29/10/11) Has that been processed as HDR or are the colours really that vibrant in your neck of the woods (sorry!) ? Like the beard sequence, shot for Movember? I may have to do...

    Fake Alert Frogman

A 7710 I think - what is going on in a faker's mind when he puts together something like this or, worse, a Frogman with a MT-G style module with hands? If you have gone to the trouble of getting the case and bezel details correct (they don't use real items, surely?) then a stab at making a half...

    Why do YOU collect G-Shocks?

WARNING - Off topic Bicycles? How about a Swiss Militar Velo - the infantry bicycle used from 1895 until the mid 80's by the Swiss bicycle troops. Rides like a dream. Astoundingly for a bicycle used in mountainous country it has only one gear. Mine is a 1922 model with both military and...

Tough Solar, easy to read, nice uncomplicated piece of kit - what's not to like? :) Needed something warm like the woolly today - 2 degrees and clear when I got up (at 0300 :( ) Snowing around Royston and Baldock, one degree in Norwich at 0700. Doors to the station wide open and a wind...
