Given this question was asked in another thread thought I'd post a quick guide on how to put your G-Shock onto a fabric band (ZULU in this case) with strap adapters. All parts I used for this conversion were purchased from http://www.broadarrow.net/maratac.htm as follows -Casio G-Shock Watch...

Great video review Mike, thanks for posting up. Good to see the watch in the 'flesh' and note the G-Shock GD-100NS-7 has a matte rather than gloss finish :cool:. Would agree it's a shame they haven't gone with a custom EL though.

You'll need some strap adapters, will dig out some pics and details tomorrow....

Decided to dig out my DW-6600 on a NATO.

Doesn't look overly small from the wrist pic. Casio haven't quite decided on how to pitch their G-Shock youth tange.G-Cool, G-Shock mini or ....

The revitalised 6600 is looking good. Under rated model imo. G-Lide looks good too - at least you managed to get it working again!

Good call for a 'practice' watch. I have a big bag of busted up G-Shocks I've bought for spares and / or have been DOA. Always useful! Ahhh, the good old S-Shock :p

Guess that's hard to gauge. Certainly a reasonable number judging by this and various other watch forums. Also assume there are a huge number collecting these without contributing to any sites and also in Japan. Certainly must be several 1000 very serious collectors to keep bringing the models...

'Wholesale' and 'from Asia'. Hmmm ;) Good thought to buy a cheapy for the keeper. However by the time you buy a new band and bezel for that it may not be much cheaper.

Yup, it looks pretty mint from the pics! Handy to have a contact in Japan indeed. I think when it comes to collecting G-Shock (or anything for that matter) closure is often hard to find. I've been in a vaguely similar situation when I've had one last G to target - there is (of course) always...
