G-Shock 30th Anniversary Resist Black Series coming April 2013

Casio Japan have today announced the latest G-Shock release celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the world's toughest watches. The 'Resist Black' Series follows the 30th Anniversary Initial Blue Series and 30th Anniversary Rising Red Series in commemorating the release of the first G-Shock way back in 1983. The Resist Black Series features three models all of which have been chosen as iconic and significant watches in the history of G-Shock.
  • G-Shock DW-5030C - the original classic
  • G-Shock DW-6930C - the classic round G-Shock shape and one of the most iconic G-Shocks
  • G-Shock GW-5530C - a modern take on the first mud and dust resist model, the DW-5500

All three feature black bands and bezels with copper detailing designed to give that vintage feel. The G-Shock DW-5030C also features the 'PROJECT TEAM' Tough logo to the dial. All three models feature the classic 30th Anniversary custom caseback and packaging designed by Mr Eric Haze.

The new G-Shock 30th Anniversary Resist Black Series is dropping in Japan on 19th April 2013, we expect to see a very limited worldwide release.

Nice Feisar! We're looking fwd to your wrist shots and reviews when you get the watch.
So which one do you guys think is the best out of 3? I know it's personal preference.
But I'd like to hear.
For me, I like D5030C. Maybe I'll get that one only.
Bought one too many frogs these past few days. T_T

If it's OK with everyone I'd like to centralize some info about this series. Obviously in the next week we'll know all, but I still have some questions.

First and foremost the 5030 has turned out to be much more impressive than I had imagined. Tanaka video above, and I swiped these photos from a different thread.

Cool? Has anyone seen anything on the 5530 or 6930 yet? Even though these two are not screwbacks, I'm wondering if they are also ion plated (just the casback)? Same keeper?

GSE posted yesterday on Twitter that they have the 5030, the Supra, and still have one triple M. Popping by tomoz, can't afford all three but will try and get some up close pics for you all.

Some more photos and information. For those that don't know, the 5030 is supposedly using the same steel case as the gw5000 (which is why there is a good supply of those right now as well) only Ion Plated instead of DLC coated. This also explains why the 5030 is made in Japan. I swiped these photos from Kumazo on another forum as he was kind enough to show naked photos (bezel removed).

And it turns out this watch (all the rising blacks? Unsure at this time) are using different 30th anniversary packaging.

I'll try to take shots of the gw5000 and dw5030 side by side without bezel when my set comes in.
