October 2011 sees Casio Japan bring seven new G-Shocks to the market. Another strong month from Casio with three new colorways for the iconic G-001 'Jason' line (DW-001 re-issue) , the release of the G-8900 model line (a non-atomic version of the GW-8900, part of the G-Shock Sept '11 release) and the distinctive Globe x G-Shock GRX-5600GE-1.
The G-Shock G-001 Jason models include the G-001-1CJF in 'Military Black', G-001-2CJF in 'Navy' and G-001-8CJF in 'Gray', all three models will retail at ¥13650 which is around USD$180 or GBP£115.
The G-Shock G-8900 line up includes the vanilla G-8900-1, G-8900A-1 with a gloss finish to band and bezel and blue face and crisp white G-8900A-7, all three retail around the ¥14175 (the vanilla model slightly less) which is far below the price point of the GW-8900.
This months drop is completed by a tidy collaboration, the Globe x G-Shock GRX-5600GE-1 which will retail at ¥18900, around USD$250 & GBP£190. This tie up model with skate brand Globe features the text "GLOBE UNITED BY FATE" to the face, IP black buttons (and possibly caseback), custom GLOBE packaging and possibly a custom "GLOBE UNITED BY FATE" caseback or EL (or both - my Japanese isn't that good
). The watch of course also features all the regular GRX-5600 features which includes tide graph with 100 surf spots pre-programmed, stopwatch, 200m water resistance etc.
