Upcoming G-Shock 'Triple G Resist' G-Shock GW-4000

20110928_GW-4000_theme_press_m.jpgThe G-Shock GW-4000 Sky Cockpit watch is the first to feature 'Triple G Resist' technology. The watch is designed with aviation in mind and is not only able to withstand 'normal' G-Shock but is also impact resistant to ISO2669 (standard for aircraft equipment) and is able to withstand 15G of centrifugal gravity. Although we might suggest if you are experiencing 15G telling the time may not be your number one concern.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
Along with impressive shock resistance the G-Shock GW-4000 features multiband 6 time sync, stopwatch, alarm and all the normal G-Shock functionality. The aircraft inspired watch comes in three colorways although are are mostly black, the orange and white accented GW-4000-1AJF, the green accented GW-4000-1A3JF and white and black accented GW-4000A-1A3JF.

The G-Shock GW-4000 is hitting the streets in Japan on November 30th and will retail at ¥42000 which is approx USD$550, GBP£350 and EUR€400.

Nice, but for £200 more than my "cockpit inspired" GW-3000 I would want a black metal band rather than resin. Wonder if the lume is any better?

Interesting point, not sure if Casio put any better lume on their nominally better (or at least more costly ;) ) models!
