As part of their October 2011 general release Casio have brought two new Pro-Trek PRW-2500 models to the market. The PRW-2500-1AJF and PRW-2500-1BJF. Both are predominantly black with a positive display, the 1BJF having green accents and the 1AJF being more stealthy. Both feature all the Pro-Trek PRW-2500 bells and whistles which include compass, thermometer and multiband6 time syncronization, full details and spec can be found in the original article we brought you on this model back in July > Casio Japan announce new PRW-2500. To celebrate their 10th Anniversary Japanese label Uno Coal Showten Co. aka UCS (established by MMA fighter Caol Uno) have collaborated with Hiroshi Fujiwara and his fragment design label to release this exclusive Casio G-Shock DW-5600E. This 1000 piece run watch features a super clean white face with the fragment logo, custom caseback again with fragment logo and numbering along with limited packaging. The watch is being released later this month and is available from a number of Japanese fashion retailers and UCS online. Price will be ¥21000. Thanks to hypebeast and UCS for the news :D
The all new G-Shock GW-9300 has been awarded a 2011 Good Design Award by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP). The award recieves around 3000 entries per year and the recipients are entitled to wear the G-Mark which was originally conceived back in 1957. Full details on the Good Design Award site. Hong Kong blogger CLEMIKO TIMEPIECE ONLINE has uploaded scans from the newest Casio G-Shock catalogue. The scans show many of the October 2011 new releases, check our post on the G-Shock Oct '11 releases and Baby-G Oct '11 releases. The catalogue images also show many new releases which we would think will be coming out as part of the November 2011 and December 2011 releases. Of particular interest is the Army Green Color Series, Parre x G-Shock DW-5600PR-4JR, Dee And Ricky x G-Shock GA-111DR-7AJR, Bluetooth G-Shocks - GB-6900 and Black x Gray series. Japanese fashion retailer Beauty & Youth have teamed up with Casio to release this G-Shock AWG-M500 BYSP. The watch is currently available in their online store here. The AWG-M500 is rarely seen as a collaboration, it features Multiband 5, tough solar and all the normal G-Shock functionality. The Beauty & Youth x G-Shock AWG-M500 BYSP features the Beauty & Youth logo to the dial and caseback along with custom packaging. Price is ¥25,200 if you can find one!
Casio Japan have pulled out all the stops for the Baby-G October 2011 drop with fourteen new models. The main news is the Rebecca Minkoff x Baby-G BGA-125RM-1AJR collaboration and all new metal cased and multiband 6 sporting MSA-5100 range. The remaining releases see new colorways for the Baby-G MSG-302, Baby-G BG-3000, Baby-G BG-5601, Baby-G BGA-1200, Baby-G BGD-1100, Baby-G BGD-1300 and Baby-G BLX-301 lines. Casio Japan have just announced the new G-Shock models for September 2011. After a couple of relatively quiet months Casio Japan have pulled out all the stops for September with eight new pieces including two entirely new models, the GW-8900 and MTG-1200, and the new 'Men In Smoky Gray' range. The G-Shock GW-8900 is an entirely new model for September 2011. Looks to be an interesting one which we're sure is likely to be popular, look forward to seeing real world pictures via various Japanese blogs later this month. Headline features are tough solar, atomic multiband six, prominent fifth EL button along with size - it's 55.1mm x 52.5mm which makes it even bigger than some of the current 'Master of G' series like the GW-9200 Riseman...
French sneaker manufacturer Feiyue have teamed up with Casio to bring out a retro themed male and female shoe and watch box set. Both sets include a retro A.S. sneaker which includes details inspired by the classic Casio ranges along with a Casio Illuminator in a matched colour scheme. The male set includes a white sneaker (or trainer if you will ;)) featuring gray details along with a silver Casio. The women's set includes a white sneaker with yellow detail and a gold mid-size Casio Illuminator. The box sets will be available from selected French fashion retailers for €99 some time in December. October 2011 sees Casio Japan bring seven new G-Shocks to the market. Another strong month from Casio with three new colorways for the iconic G-001 'Jason' line (DW-001 re-issue) , the release of the G-8900 model line (a non-atomic version of the GW-8900, part of the G-Shock Sept '11 release) and the distinctive Globe x G-Shock GRX-5600GE-1. The G-Shock G-001 Jason models include the G-001-1CJF in 'Military Black', G-001-2CJF in 'Navy' and G-001-8CJF in 'Gray', all three models will retail at ¥13650 which is around USD$180 or GBP£115. To celebrate 30 Years in the business not only is Japanese guitar legend Mr. Tomoyasu Hotei hitting the road with his 'Hotei 30th Anniversary Super Best Memorial' Tour but he has also teamed up with Casio to release the Hotei x G-Shock DW-6900TH-1JR 30th Anniversary GUITARYHTHM Model. The collaboration model features the distinctive Hotei logo to EL backlight, band and caseback, Hotei text to the face and custom packaging. Another month, another BAPE x G-Shock collaboration. This new DW-6900 collab features the classic BAPE EL, gold accents, GO APE motto to the dial and 'APE SHALL NOT KILL APE' motto to the band. Cutting edge Dutch fashion label OntFront have teamed up with Casio to bring out this sharp limited edition G-Shock GA-110C. The design from OntFront's Liza Koifman features and anthracite finish to band and bezel along with a sharp pixelated snakeskin print and OntFront logo to the band. Only fifty of these bad boys are being produced so best get camped outside the OntFront store in Amsterdam and Gorilli in Rotterdam at some point in October when they go on sale. Japanese watch giant Watch-Tanaka has posted real world pictures of the upcoming trio of G-Shock GA-120 releases, the G-Shock GA-120-1AJF, G-Shock GA-120B-1AJF and G-Shock GA-120-7AJF. Casio Japan have announced a new addition to the all new Edifice EQW-A1000 lineup, news of which we brought you back in April. The latest model is a collaboration with Formula 1 outfit Red Bull Racing, the Edifice EQW-A100RB-1AJR. The EQW-A1000RB features a Red Bull Racing logo to the dial, Red Bull color scheme and limited edition box set packaging. It also of course features all the functionality of the regular AQW-A1000 including tough solar, multiband 6 and the innovative Smart Access system. September 2011 sees Casio Japan dropping just two new models in the Baby-G range, both are part of the 'Neon Dial Series'. The Baby-G BGA-132-7BJF and Baby-G BGA-132-1BJF are both striking items with their bold monochrome color schemes and neon LED backlights. Look out for real pics of these from Japan later this month. To celebrate 45 years of cult Japanese super hero Ultraman the Ultraman x G-Shock DW-5600VTULTRAMAN-1TJR 45th Anniversary Edition is being released via Japanese retailer Charamono. The model which is based on the regular DW-5600 is limited to 1000 pieces and is retailing at ¥19950. We are unclear on release date, it is certainly available to order (if not pre-order) from Charamono as of 12th August. The limited edition features unique Ultraman packaging, Ultraman text and detailing to band and dial along with a pretty nifty Ultraman EL. Read more for full set of pictures.
For those who don't know Miffy she is a small female rabbit drawn by Dutch artist Dick Bruna. The first book was released in 1955 and the series has gone on to sell over 85 million copies worldwide. Unsurprisingly Miffy is hugely popular in Japan, the Dutch rabbit is widely regarded as one of the main inspirations behind Hello Kitty. To celebrate 55 years of Miffy Casio released the Miffy55 x Baby-G BG-5600MIFFY-1JR last year which was limited to 1000 pieces. Chinese toy maker adFunture have once again teamed up with G-Shock as part of the 2011 Shock the World Tour. adFunture have designed four plastic action figures which (rather handily) double up as stands for your Master of G G-Shock - each figure is designed with a specific Master of G in mind. adFunture have also customised a set of Masters, the Frogman, Riseman, old Gulfman and old Mudman with custom adFunture logos and graphics. The stands and watches are promotional items available as part of the Casio G-Shock Shanghai leg of the 'Shock The World Tour'.
