Are there any nice looking Gshock watches with a pedometer?

Because there are none . Casio has some (nice) jogging watches in their Phys line, but no Gs. And welcome aboard .

What to do? What to do?

That's the problem with trading in a collector's market; it ALWAYS will be a gamble. Prices are low now because of the high number of offers, so in theory if the offers die down prices should rise, but that will only happen if the demand stays high. If you want something to base yourself on look...

The logic of modding Gs! Insanity or vanity?

All right, acetone-free is the way to do it when you're going over large areas. You can also try soaking the toothpick in regular nail polish remover and then try to rub/scratch the letters off. If you're careful to not let the nail polish remover go over the bezel it will make the job easier.

The logic of modding Gs! Insanity or vanity?

tyr, you must be careful with paint strippers. Nail polish remover usually uses acetone as a base, and acetone can melt PU resin. It won't dissolve it, but it can make the bezel look "faded" if you rub it enough. There are some nail polish removers that are acetone-free, those you can use with...

    Parts: where?

I e-mailed Keith and he's seeing if he can get the black resin. If I was sure that it wouldn't be necessary to "dissolve" the polarizing medium I would go for the 1JF watch and the -7 module, but since I can't be certain, I'll have to go the easy route.

    Parts: where?

I know there are some models where the module comes out with just some wriggling around, but so far I haven't seen any yet. If this was the case, then the job would be easy as pie, though the polarizing film could be a problem. On some models it's just an insert, slipped between the LCD and the...

The logic of modding Gs! Insanity or vanity?

You do realize you're done for, right? I hope your SEC is understanding and gentle . But the 6600 looks absolutely smashing, congrats!

    Parts: where?

That would be the best, of course. However, I would have to open the module, since the polarizing film is applied under the crystal and above the LCD, which isn't exactly a breeze. Plus, I would also have to deal with those blasted c-clips . And c-clips are irrefutable evidence that the devil...

    Cool G-Shock story

No, it's the same positive display module but with a polarizing film in front of the display. However, maybe in the end it will consume more power because you will use the light more.

    Parts: where?

U huh. If yours was available with a positive display I would be all over it (I loved the blue accents), but since Casio seems to think nobody likes positive displays anymore, I'll have to buy that resin and transplant it to a GLS-100-7 module & case.

Hubba hubba hubba! That's the idea! Now you have a G that YOU really like. And that's the beauty of them: they're so easy to live with. I really like mechanicals but right now they're just eye candy for me - nice to look at, but give me a G to wear everyday, thank you.

    Parts: where?

Thanks, I'll try to contact Keith . Right not I'm thinking of getting a black GLS-100 with a positive display. Ouch ! Making a negative display out of a positive one is easy and highly successful, but the reverse unfortunately ain't true. PS: You got a PM.

    Parts: where?

Guys, what would be a good place to get current resin? As I'm sure you've heard me whinging about Casio's current negative-display-only policy with many models, I won't get quite a few models because the color combos I like do not come with positive display . My buying options have been severely...

The logic of modding Gs! Insanity or vanity?

Ah, the BEST way to enjoy a G! I know every g-shockaholic frets over their babies, me included, but honestly, just wear the things. I won't keep them exposed to direct sunlight when not on my wrist and I don't even get near sunblock or bug lotions when wearing them, but other then that I just...

    WRUW - Saturday January 18th

Couldn't believe no one had posted today yet, so I couldn't let the honor of starting a WRUW thread slip by . G-7800-1DR I was so excited that I even made two photos of one of my favorite squares to wear . A true shame that Casio has seemed to have abandoned the whole square concept .
