    eBay DW-6100 Thermometer £30 BIN

Noted in the description that he thinks there is a problem with the light as it is weak, my 6100 is the same and I think that is inherent in the design - a single LED rather than a nice backlit LCD. As you say - nice price and if I didn't already have one I would buy it!

    Wanted G-7800b-1

I am doing the honourable thing and not buying this before Mr. Pete gets to hear about it ... ... mind you he did say he wanted to find one NOT on eBay! UPDATE - it is now open season - the BIN of £35 has disappeared and there is one bid of 99p. (Not mine :) )

eBay Casio G-Shock Frogman "DW-8200MS-8T" Men in Smoke

Caseback on a Frog is a must! First to admire the back itself and second to check the serial and work out production date. Yes, specs copied from a Casio site are not always necessary - the bare statistics maybe but so many copy Casio's blurb as well. What does constitute a good ad? To me...

    WRUW : 16th Jan -> 22nd Jan

It's also Blue Monday, the most depressing day of the year according to some scientists and journalists bored on a slow news day. What better to cheer up my workmates than my new DW-6900SN-4ER? A pink watch certainly gets noticed and, as I had a day to spend in the office it got noticed a lot...

    Looking for a first G-Shock

I am wondering about your "clients" and whether they will find a metal band easier to undo than a resin band with buckle if they have any reason to try and cause you difficulty. There are always a lot of used shocks being traded on eBay, might be an idea to get one to test the idea of a shock...

    WRUW : 9th Jan - 15th Jan

I sometimes check my 6100 when I'm not wearing it to see what the temperature in the house is. I tend to put a second duvet on the bed when it gets cold, we have yet to get so cold as to warrant a three tog night. I rarely put the central heating on, relying on the houses either side (I live in...

eBay Casio G-Shock Frogman "DW-8200MS-8T" Men in Smoke

Somewhat minimalist approach to eBay selling :D And a 99p start. Be interesting to see how this one goes. Nice looking watch, good photos

So what was the temperature on the 6100? Went to see one of our committee members to discuss the advertising flyer for our upcoming military show and after the ribbing following the wearing of a pink 6900 decided to go with a more restrained DW6630. Noticed that it has black bullbars but a...

    Looking for a first G-Shock

Did someone say they wanted another opinion? :encouragement: I like (and own) the GW-3000B - resin band, solar battery and atomic timekeeping. Easy to read analog hands and date window, sub dial shows 24 hour time. No good for use in unlit areas though. £150 UK - you can reckon that what costs...

The Official Introduce Yourself Here Thread.

Hi Tommy, Photos of the ones that haven't strayed would be nice! Whereabouts in Northern Ireland? It's a place I know slightly from various trips over as a computer engineer for Legal and General and for IBM fond memories of a nice country and great people. And a wee Ulster fry for a...

Amazon G-Shock GW-7900MS-3ER £64 posted in the UK

This model of the 7900 is only available with the strap shown which is nylon, soft on the side that meets the wrist and harder on the outside. There are several colours available: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_npmv=3&_trksid=p3910.m570.l1313&_nkw=GW-7900&_sacat=281 and most have...

eBay Never mind the watch feel the postage

I have stated before that I object to excessive postage when it comes to eBay purchases. Most of the warches I have bought have been well packed and bear postage of around £1.75 to £2.50. Tape and packing materials aren't free so I have no problem with paying up to £4.00 for getting the package...

The Official Introduce Yourself Here Thread.

Very nice watch! I have bought watches from Japan and they have arrived within two weeks. But it seems like months when you are waiting for something to arrive :) When you get the watch it is the unbreakable rule of the forum that you must photograph it on your wrist and post it in that week's...

    WRUW : 9th Jan - 15th Jan

I have a jaundiced view of my colleagues - typical middle class, unthinking racists, intolerant of anything different or potentially threatening and conservative with both large and small C. This probably tells you as much about my own views and prejudices as theirs  Still my friends...

Not a lot in the store, seemed a lot of empty space even though it is a small unit. GD-100s, DW-6900s and the GA-1** range, some no G-Shocks, some Baby Gs, a couple of Jasons and this which may be cheap at the price, not sure on Froggies: I want it :) Quite right, it is indeed a 6900...

Wore my Stargate today. Picture is here in the "Shocks in the media" thread just to be perverse. Met Jonathan at GSE, chatted for 20 minutes during which my mate Kevin decided to buy a Baby-G for his wife. Bad news - the sale is over, bosses in Japan have pulled it. Good news - Jonathan was...
